About Aventine

A collaboration between restauranteur Kevin Dillmon, chef Adam Ohara, and pastry chef Megan Ware. Our restaurant features artful farm-to-table selections inspired by the legacy of Southern hospitality while incorporating the European sensibilities of the culinary district of Aventine Hill in Rome, Italy — our sister city. We have something for everyone, so bring your family and join us!

About Davies Farm

In 2019, we expanded the community garden behind the Davies Men’s Shelter to a 2-acre farm in South Rome. Combined, both the Campbell-Rife Community Garden and the Davies Farm at South Meadows help us supplement the food we serve at both shelters and also stock our Farm Bus. Brad Swancy, our Farm Manager, leads a small group of Berry Bonner Scholars and other volunteers to develop the land at the Farm and raise enough produce to supplement the food we serve at both shelters and also stock the Farm Bus for weekly stops between May & October.

About Newby Vineyard & Winery

The property was originally purchased by Billy’s great uncle, Miles White, in 1953. He had goats and horses, and the terraced land leads down to one of several natural springs from which we get our water. Billy’s parents, Dennis and Jackie Newby live on the property now and have been highly involved and supportive of every new endeavor. After projects like transplanting and trellising wild blackberries, establishing an enormous vegetable garden, and planting blueberries, raspberries, and anything else you can think of, the first Blanc du Bois grapevines were planted in March of 2015. The vineyard is an oasis of natural beauty only minutes from downtown Rome and is made possible by the efforts of our family and community, for which we are forever grateful.

About Flowers at Floyd Springs

Flowers at Floyd Springs grew out of a love for growing and sharing zinnias. We now offer 1/4 acre of flowers, still mostly zinnias along with sunflowers, snapdragons, strawflowers and more.

We invite you to come enjoy the flowers and create your unique bouquet. Most of all we hope you enjoy nature’s beauty walking through the field of blooms.
