Matt has nonprofit leadership experience and a commitment to serving vulnerable neighbors . Matt has served as Executive Director of Stephens County Family Connection in Toccoa, Georgia, where he led strategic planning, strengthened community partnerships, and expanded collaborative initiatives. He also founded and directed SweetWater Men’s Shelter & Addiction Recovery Center, helping hundreds of men experiencing homelessness work toward stability through housing support, job readiness training, and recovery resources. Matt has worked closely with government agencies, nonprofits, and faith-based organizations to build sustainable programs, and advocate for people in need. His background also includes service as a chaplain with the Georgia Dept of Corrections, providing crisis support and coordinating community-based assistance.
